We use our bicycles as "Transportation", JoLynn is a "commuter and I am a utility rider", we "both" ride for recreation and we do not own a car. We live on $25,000 net a year so by using bicycles, it let's us LIVE LIFE, like we want, we love to see a movie, eat out, etc. With the huge costs of "auto ownership" , we could not AFFORD to live the lifestyle that we choose. We ride our bicycles around our local area and even venture out on the highway's for a overnight or weekend ride now and then ;). Get on your BIKE and RIDE! :)

A break in the weather!

Today was a pretty nice day here in Colorado Springs, CO. but the upcoming weekend looks BAD, 50% chance of snow, arrugh! :( So today I did a first, I did the "whole loop" of the Garden of the Gods, which is a lot of steep inclines and very pretty landscape to ride thru. I NEED the miles and the hills as the "St. Patrick's Day 50K bike ride is March 16th. and it's quite a "hilly" route and as a "recreational/utility rider", that avoids hills if at all possible, it was time to do some hill work!
28 miles total, here a photo of just a bit of what I road thru!

Hooray!! Congratulations.

My family is down where you are, they've shared lots of pretty pictures. I can't wait to be able to ride through there with them.

Good luck on your event!
